How To Order Blinds Online: The Stress-Free Way to Order Blinds!

The Seven-Point Plan

Simply follow our Seven-Point Plan and you’ll have a new and stylish look for your home, business, bach or sleepout!

1. Research
First of all, find out which blind is right for you. Do you need your blinds to cut out the glare? Do you need them to keep in the heat? Do you need them to fit a specific style or theme? Or do you want to customise your own design? Check out our gallery and blog for inspiration!

2. Measure
You’ll need a metal tape measure and your phone or paper to jot down the measurements. First, determine whether you want the blind to hang inside “recess” or outside “face” the window recess. Then take note of things like window handles or tiles and take their position into account if necessary.

For Recess:
Measure the width of the recess from wall to wall in 3 places. Note down the shortest measurement in millimetres.

For Drop:
Measure the drop by taking the measurement from the top of the recess to the window sill in 3 places. Note down the longest measurement in millimetres.

For Face:
(This is when you want your blind to hang outside the window recess.)
Measure the exact width of where you’d like your blind to be. Usually a 50mm overlap for coverage is sufficient. Note down the measurement in millimetres. Measure the exact drop from the top of where you want your blind to be to the bottom. Usually a 50mm overlap is sufficient. Note down the measurement in millimetres.

3. Get Quote
When you order blinds online at NZ Blinds, you can input your measurements, pick the style and colour of blinds, and instantly see how much the order will cost.

4. Order Samples
If you’re unsure that your chosen fabric, colour, or style is right for your room –and because the colours on the website may appear differently on different screens – you can order a free sample via our website. This is the best way to be confident that you’re getting the perfect and most suitable product. Best of all, it costs you nothing.

5. Payment
When you place an order, select Direct Debit, Credit Card or Afterpay as your form of payment to generate an order. Confirmation will be sent to you, which you can double-check. The order won’t be processed until payment has been made. All credit card transactions are secure and we do not store your credit card number.

6. Delivery
In most instances, blinds are manufactured and dispatched within 10 to 15 working days. Wooden blinds may take up to 25 working days to manufacture. Deliveries take 1 to 4 days, depending on your location. You will be notified regarding any delay as soon as it becomes apparent. All blinds are delivered FREE in New Zealand – although in some cases if there’s a large volume orders or the delivery location is in remote rural areas or islands, they may be delivered to a carrier’s depot.

• All blinds from NZ blinds are rigorously checked for quality control before dispatch. In an unlikely event that you experience any problems or your blind is faulty, please contact us
• Please check you blinds ASAP after delivery and advise us within 24 hours in the unlikely case that there is shipping damage.

7. Installation
You have two options available: do-it-yourself or perhaps contact neighbourly or a local handyman to help with the final fitting.
