Overview

Sunscreen roller blinds that reduce glare and block up to 97% of UV heat — while preserving your view through the fabric. The Aventus 5% openness sunscreen fabric lets you see out during the day while limiting visibility from outside, making them ideal for living rooms, offices and any space where you want natural light without the harsh glare.

Sunscreen blinds are sometimes called sheer roller blinds or privacy blinds — they give you daytime privacy by limiting the view from outside while letting you see out.

Sunscreen blinds are available in a wide range of colours with the option of combining as a “combo blind” with any blockout blind. This gives you the best of both worlds — filtered light during the day and full blockout at night from a single bracket.

The fabric provides effective daytime privacy while maintaining your outward view. Suitable for north and west-facing windows where heat and glare are strongest.

Conservatories, sunrooms and north-facing living areas benefit most from sunscreen roller blinds, where direct sun creates uncomfortable glare and heat buildup.

Openness factor refers to the percentage of the fabric surface that is open weave. A 5% openness fabric lets in some natural light and allows outward visibility while blocking 95% of direct sunlight and up to 97% of UV radiation.

They are the same product. “Sheer roller blinds” and “sunscreen roller blinds” both refer to roller blinds made with an open-weave fabric that filters light and UV while maintaining outward visibility. The terms are used interchangeably in New Zealand.

Blinds ordered at separate times may not colour match perfectly. We strongly recommend that all blinds for one room are ordered at the same time.
Blinds between 6sqm & 8sqm are more difficult to operate. They may be hard to lift & lower for users who are not physically strong. Roller tube deflection & fabric bagging may also be an issue.
Blinds over 8sqm are not within warranty. The tube will deflect and the fabric will bag. We recommend using a Link Bracket.
Mechanisms & Brackets– The standard mechanism is UNIFLEX in White, Black, Cream and Grey.
Bottom rails – Standard is for Dual Bottom rail with either the Curved or Flat side on the front of the blind. Dual Rail Colours are White, Black, Cream & Anodised.
Chains – Standard chains are Continuous Plastic Chains in either White, Black, Cream or Grey. Stainless Steel is available which attracts a surcharge.
