The 45mm light-filtering cells let soft natural light through while reducing glare and providing daytime privacy.
Also known as cellular blinds, vertical honeycomb blinds are among the most thermally efficient window treatments available — the air pockets in each cell create a natural insulation barrier that reduces heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer.

Yes. The 45mm honeycomb cells trap a layer of air between two fabric walls, creating a thermal barrier. This reduces heat loss through windows in winter and limits solar heat gain in summer — making them one of the most energy-efficient blind types available.
Vertical honeycomb blinds are specifically designed for wide openings like ranch sliders and bi-fold doors. They stack compactly to one side when open and can span widths up to 4800mm in a single blind.
Light-filtering honeycomb blinds let soft diffused light through while providing daytime privacy. Room-darkening honeycomb blinds use an opaque inner layer to block most light — better for bedrooms or media rooms where you need darkness.
They are the same product. “Honeycomb blinds” and “cellular blinds” both describe blinds made from cells of fabric that trap air for insulation. The terms are used interchangeably — NZ Blinds uses “honeycomb” but you may see them called “cellular” elsewhere.
