Manufacturing Times

Current estimated manufacturing times:

NEW ZEALAND MANUFACTURE

5 working days for New Zealand manufactured 5 DAY ROLLER, 5 DAY FAUX WOOD VENETIAN and 5 DAY HONEYCOMB blinds

7-8 working days for New Zealand manufactured ROLLER & FAUXWOOD venetians

15 working days for New Zealand manufactured VERTICAL & ALUMINIUM venetians

Please note: working days exclude weekends, public holidays and factory closure periods such as Christmas 2024/25 factory closures are 19 December until 6 January. The good news is that by ordering over the holiday period we will be processing orders and you will secure your place in the production schedule upon the factory’s return.

IMPORTED

** see below – 35-50 working days for imported HONEYCOMB, FAUX WOOD, ALUMINIUM and PHOENIXWOOD blinds

** see below – 50-60 working days for imported SHUTTERS

** IMPORTED Chinese New Year.  The factory closes 25 January and re-opens on the 2 February (factory cut-off times are around 10-14 days prior to this, depending on the product type).  This unfortunately means that orders placed after the 13th of January will take longer to get here than usual as it takes the factory a while to catch up on manufacturing after the 1-week annual closure.  Generally, there is 3-4 weeks added to manufacturing times when they return to work.  Shipping is also disrupted as this holiday affects the entire country and everyone scrambles to get containers out in a hurry when everything is back up and running.  We expect shipping to take 1-3 weeks longer than usual in the 6 weeks following CNY.

Ten Printed Blind Designs to Inspire Your Creative Home

So, you’re thinking about getting new blinds, but nothing on the market has particularly interested you? All the blinds out there are a bit boring and plain? Printed blinds are an excellent alternative, because you really can print whatever you like on them.

If you’re shy for ideas but are keen on something a little new and different with your blinds, read on to discover ten creative printed blinds that may inspire you!

1. A Scenic View

Have a whole lot of windows but don’t like the view outside? An easy fix can be to arrange some custom-made blinds to be printed with the view you’ve been dreaming of. Not only will you finally be able to feel like you live in New York, Paris,  or London, these types of printed roller blinds can also make the room they’re in seem a whole lot more spacious at night when the world outside is dark.

2. A Geometric Pattern

Blinds can be a great opportunity to add a unique feature to your home’s overall interior design. A tessellated, geometric pattern suits a modern or mid-century home perfectly, and it’s both a nice, subtle option as well as an intriguing feature at the same time. This style of printed blinds can also give off a sleek, modern look and enhance a space significantly.

3. Some Added Texture

Not a fan of prints and patterns? Choose a printed blind with subtle, textural features rather than patterned ones. Although the fabrics of printed blinds themselves are limited, you can still utilise texture by uploading a photograph of your favourite texture. The way the light shines off the angles will provide the perfect backdrop—day or night.

4. A Pop of Colour

Use blinds as an opportunity to add a pop of colour into your home. If you feel as though your living space is a little dull and beige, this can be a great thing to consider. Blinds take up a significant amount of wall space, so it’s not hard to imagine how they could utterly transform your space when printed with a bold, stunning colour.

5. The Kids’ Favourite Storybook Characters

Blinds aren’t just for the living room, if you’ve got kids’ rooms that need blinds, why not get them involved in picking out the print? You could print their favourite storybook characters and tell a story through the blinds; they would feel absolutely spoilt with that kind of amazing addition to their bedroom.

6. Simple Stripes

If you’re not into crazy, lavish prints plastered all over your home, but still want a defining feature in your new set of blinds, stripes can be a simple but effective idea for a print. Remember, stripes don’t always have to be black and white or even symmetrical. There can be as many or as little colours as you want, and as thick or as thin as you want. The opportunities with stripes really are endless.

7. Lush Florals

The perfect accessory to a spring home, florals brighten everyone’s day. Your printed blinds can utilise florals in a way that brightens a room, adds an extra element of intrigue or even makes a space feel dramatic. It all depends on the colours and tones you use, so start with your favourite type of flowers and get creative with a floral print that suits your home perfectly.

8. Go Abstract

For the really zany homes who just want to throw style restrictions out the window, why not go crazy with an abstract print on your blinds? Think of it as a work of art, and get creative with whatever materials you can find. Once you take a photo of the finished product, presto, you’ve got an original set of blinds designed by yours truly. Not many people can say that!

9. Match the Cushions

An interior design trick-of-the-trade is to find an element that already stands out in your room—such as cushions—and match your blinds with them! This way, you know you’re not going to have any surprises after the blinds are installed. You won’t have to try to make the colours in your space sit alongside each other if they’re already perfectly matched.

10. Anything You Could Ever Imagine

I think what we’re getting at here, is that with custom made blinds, you really can print anything you could ever imagine onto your own set! The world is your oyster, so get creative and see what original concepts you can come up with yourself.
