Note: Venetian blinds are privacy screens designed to be kept in the lowered position and tilted open or closed. The full raised position is for cleaning the window or accessing window latches.

Faux wood blinds are made from PVC that mimics the look of painted timber. They cost less, are waterproof, and require less maintenance. Real wood blinds offer a natural grain texture but are heavier, more expensive, and unsuitable for humid rooms.
50mm slats are the most popular size in New Zealand. They provide a modern look with good light control and are suitable for most standard windows. Larger 63mm slats suit bigger windows or a bolder design statement.
Wipe each slat with a damp cloth or use a feather duster for regular maintenance. For deeper cleaning, remove the blinds and wash the slats with warm soapy water. The PVC material dries quickly and does not absorb moisture.
