Honeycomb Blinds 45mm — Room Darkening

Room-darkening honeycomb blinds block the majority of incoming light, but with a standard 6mm factory clearance on each side, some light bleed occurs at the edges. For near-total blackout, you can add 2–3mm to your smallest measured width to reduce this gap. They are significantly darker than light-filtering honeycomb blinds.

Mylar is a stretched polyester film applied inside the honeycomb cells. It is the same material used in space blankets and thermal insulators. On honeycomb blinds, the mylar coating blocks light and adds a radiant barrier that increases the thermal efficiency of the cells beyond standard fabric.

With standard factory clearances there is a 6.0mm gap between the jamb and the fabric on each side so some light bleed does occur at the side of the blind.
