Honeycomb 5 Day Room Darkening
Honeycomb Blinds (Thermacell) are an attractive cellular blind that are renowned for their insulation properties.
The 5 Day Honeycomb blind is available as a New Zealand factory cutdown blind and will be dispatched in a maximum of 5 working days. Blind is a Cordless 38mm cell size. The system is the inverse of the standard Cordless Honeycomb (Thermacell) as the mechanisms are in the bottom rail rather than the top rail. There is no handle on this blind so the blind is raised and lowered by pulling or pushing the bottom rail up and down.
The shades come in 3 heights – 1200, 1700 and 2200. When the opening is shorter than these measurements the pleats in the shade will just be more compressed at the bottom.
i.e. If your opening is 600mm high you will be supplied with a 1200mm drop blind, if your opening is 1460mm high you will be supplied with a 1700mm drop blind.

They can increase the thermal insulation of your window by up to 3 times that of a normal curtain. Room Darkening – this is great for darkening and warming the bedrooms or older single glazed homes. The blind has a blackout coating (mylar) to ensure that they really do darken a room. Mylar is a stretched polyester film and is commonly used in products such as space blankets, protective plastic coatings and insulators, because of its proven thermal and insulting properties. Room darkening blinds has the highest thermal efficiency of all the fabric types. With standard factory clearances there is a 6.0mm gap between the jamb and the fabric on each side so some light bleed does occur at the side of the blind.
