Marupa Wooden Venetian Blinds 60mm — NZ Made Wide Slat

The 60mm slat provides a wider, more contemporary look with better outward visibility when tilted open. It suits larger windows and open-plan living areas where you want a bold timber statement. The 50mm is a more classic, traditional width.

Marupa is a denser, harder timber than basswood (Phoenixwood), with a finer grain that takes stain more evenly. It feels more substantial and is NZ-made. Basswood is lighter and more affordable. Both are high-quality real timbers.

While 60mm slats work on any window, they look best on medium to large windows where the wider proportions are balanced. For small windows (under 600mm wide), 50mm slats may look more proportionate.

Venetian blinds should be regarded as static blinds and only raised to clean windows and/or get to the window latch. Assist the lift by helping lift the bottom bar wherever possible.
