That’s because we don’t have one! At NZ Blinds, we are New Zealand’s online blind store. Due to low overheads, we are able to provide the best blinds available at very competitive prices. Through our secure online systems, our team can track your order and answer any questions promptly by return email. We are only ever an email away at help@nzblinds.co.nz

Our blinds are dispatched by courier. Once your order is completed, we will advise the date of dispatch. Please note this varies from product to product.

25 mm Aluminium Venetian Blinds give any window a clean stylish look, providing a timeless design that suits many interior styles. Properly looked after aluminium venetian blinds will outlast any other window covering product.

With a multitude of colours providing many options for creating a decorative solution from minimal white and pastels to metallics and perforated slats. Only the highest quality colour coordinated steel, aluminium and engineering grade plastic components are used in each custom made blind.

The Faux Wood blinds are heavy and consequently have a maximum size that is covered by full warranty (there can be extra wear and tear on the cords on larger units). We can, and do however, supply larger blinds (up to 2400 x 1500 or 1300 x 2600), particularly if they are not going to be raised and lowered a lot. These come with a limited warranty.

NZ Blinds is a blind supplier only. Measuring is straightforward and installation a breeze. If you need any more information, please make contact via our help@nzblinds.co.nz and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.

Should you need help with measuring or installation, we suggest you contact a local handy person for assistance. Customers in the past have had positive experiences from local parties such as Hire a Hubby and/or Neighbourly website.

NZ Blinds does not offer measuring services. We are 100% online website working on minimum margins to supply the best products. Measuring is very straight forward and we are more than happy to supply free samples to help you make your decisions. The colours on our website may appear different on different screens. The surest way to be confident in your colour choice is to order samples. They are no charge.

Website colour swatches may appear slightly different to the real material. If you are in any doubt we are more than happy to supply you a sample/samples at no charge.

Usually to the customer’s delivery address, however some orders ( i.e. larger than deliverable by courier or to outlying areas or islands) NZ Blinds may at its discretion choose to deliver to a carrier’s depot close to the customer.

Yes. Proceed right through to Place Order and select Direct Debit as your form of payment. This will generate an order and a confirmation to you however will not be processed until payment is made.

Where available our blinds are sourced from NZ manufacturers.  Phoenixwood, Honeycomb, Faux Wood (Norman)  and Shutters are imported. Same supplier different factory.

All hardware is provided with the possible exception of screws. This is due to the fact that differing screws are needed in differing applications. In most applications a 6g x 12 mm screw is appropriate.

Assuming the colour has not been discontinued the colours will be a very close match however batch colours may differ slightly. We recommend that to be completely sure blinds should be ordered at the same time.

3 years manufacturer’s warranty on all blinds. Subject to warranty terms and conditions.

Yes. NZ Blinds uses a secure third party to handle all transactions and does not store your credit card number.

Manufacturing typically takes:
Rollers and venetians 10 – 15 working days
Phoenixwood, Honeycomb, Shutters and imported Faux Wood blinds 40 – 50 working days (approx)

Delivery takes 1 – 4 days (in addition)

We aim to dispatch within 15 working days [except where otherwise noted or advised]. Once the order is completed, we will contact you to advise of date of dispatchment.

If we try to deliver you  while you are out, a card will be left giving details of your local collection point. You can contact this collection point to arrange a new convenient delivery time, or call and collect the blinds yourself.

All blinds from NZ Blinds are rigorously quality checked before dispatch, but in the unlikely event that you experience any problems or your blind is faulty please e-mail us at help@nzblinds.co.nz.

Please check your blinds asap after delivery and advise us within 24 hours in the unlikely case that there is shipping damage.

Contact us immediately, if your order has not been manufactured no problem, if it has been manufactured but not shipped there may be a small charge.

  3. roller blinds  Wipe blind with a damp cloth as needed to remove dust. Spot clean gently with a “just” damp cloth. Do not use a coloured cloth. In case of stains, use a solvent free cleaner such as dishwashing detergent.   In extreme cases blinds can be removed washed and dried.

Palm Beach is considered ‘Thermal’ as it has the same qualities as ‘thermal’ drapes. But there is very little difference between Icon and Palm Beach.

The other fabrics without a backing also help by creating an airgap between the window glass and the blind.

At the pin end of the blind, while supporting the blind with one hand, turn the serrated wheel anti clockwise, this will cause the pin to retract into the tube.

Yes we can “paint match” wooden blinds to any paint colour, all we need to know is what colour chart it is from.

We do our best to ensure accurate colour reproduction of the finised product. However sometimes it is not possible to achieve the exact colour reproduction that you see on your computer monitor because scanners, monitors and printers can define and display colours differently.

We will email you a PDF proof of your chosen image as it will appear on your blind. This will show the image you selected to the exact proportions of your window.

Bear in mind that some images will suit portrait shaped windows while others landscape shaped. We will only proceed with your Custom Print once you have advised us to proceed.

Yes, if you wish to have a roller blind produced for your company, and have a specific request please contact us.

Your roller blind will be considerably larger than the average-sized photograph, so using a digital camera of at least 6 megapixels will help you to take a photograph with a high enough resolution to ensure a great result.

Please set your camera to the highest resolution possible (preferably a minimum of 300 dpi), and save your image in either jpeg or raw format. . If the photograph you send us is not of a sufficiently high resolution to produce a high-quality printed roller blind we will advise you by email.

Yes, in most cases this is possible, or you may choose a white border surrounding the image. Whether it is an image that you supply or one of ours, just email us your request and we will be happy to discuss with you.

The Faux Wood are New Zealand manufactured using Israeli slats.  The Faux Wood (Norman) are imported from one of the world’s largest manufacturers.  Slightly more “plastic” slat but also an excellent product. The Norman do not have holes in the slats for the ladder strings making them more room “darkening”.  The Norman take about 2 weeks longer but are cheaper.

The Norman Phoenixwood venetian blinds are manufactured in China using natural timbers. The timber is custom kiln dried and undergoes a prescription conditioning process to ensure the blinds are made with suitable humidity conditions, based on the region where order is placed. The timber slats are quarter sawn which showcase the depth and character through its grain, ensuring that they stay straight for years to come. Multiple sanding and coating process provide the appearance of furniture quality finish. Being a natural timber, the blinds are available in a range of paint and stain colour finishes. Manufacture approximately 10 weeks.

Coronavirus – Norman products (Honeycomb – Faux Wood(Norman) – Phoenixwood)
Currently, there are delays directly linked to the Coronavirus outbreak, which is affecting much of the world. While we are manufacturing your blinds at a steady rate, we are currently facing issues in international shipping. All parties we deal with are going above and beyond to get products into New Zealand. In some cases, freight is by chartered aircraft and, unfortunately, plans are not flying until completely filled with both people and freight. Ships are also being held in quarantine off Australia for some 14 days.
As you will appreciate, these factors are out of our immediate control. Please rest assured that we are doing all we can to get your new blinds to you as soon as possible. We do apologise for any delays.

We will do our best to accommodate changes to orders within the 1st 48 hours of the order being received.

Please note that being made to measure products, that, in the event that the purchaser cancels an order, the purchaser shall be liable for any loss incurred by the seller including but not limited, to any loss of profits, up to the time of cancellation.

An order cannot be cancelled once manufacturing has commenced.

If  manufacturing of the blinds has not commenced, a full refund will be provided.

Cancellation of order for goods made to the buyer’s specifications or non-stockist items will definitely not be accepted once manufacturing has commenced.

Due to the volatility of the current world market there may be freight delays out of our control.
