Overview

The Blackout Duo Roller Blind is a made-to-measure roller blind in Duo Block — a premium 100% blackout fabric. Pull it down and the room goes properly dark, with full privacy and no light coming through the fabric.

“Duo” is the name of the fabric, not a type of blind. It comes two ways: Duo Block for blackout, and Duo Screen for sunscreen (light-filtering). The two share matched colours, so they are made to sit together.

Want light by day and full darkness at night from the same window? Pair this blackout blind with a sunscreen blind to make a combo — two blinds in one opening. More on that below.

Key features

• 100% blackout. The Duo Block fabric blocks all light through the fabric for sleep, shift work, nurseries and home theatres.
• Real privacy, day and night. Nobody sees in, and you do not get the glow-through you get from cheaper linings.
• Helps with heat and warmth. The backing reflects summer heat and holds warmth in winter, so rooms stay more comfortable year round.
• Safe for bedrooms and nurseries. PVC-free, lead-free and Greenguard Gold certified for low chemical emissions — the same standard used in schools and healthcare.
• Built for big windows. The fabric runs up to 3 metres wide, so it suits large and wide openings.
• Made to measure. Cut to your exact window size and finished with your choice of mechanism, chain and bottom rail.
• Combo-ready. Add a colour-matched Duo Screen sunscreen blind for day-and-night control (see below).

Specifications

• Fabric: Duo Block 3.0 — 100% blackout (complies with AS 2663.3:1999).
• Composition: 100% polyester with a colour-coordinated foamed acrylic backing.
• Health & safety: PVC-free, lead-free, Greenguard and Greenguard Gold certified (low VOCs).
• Fire: Tested to AS 1530 Part III; meets Class 2 – 9(a) building requirements.
• Light fastness: 6 on the Blue Scale (ISO 105-B02:2014).
• Maximum fabric width: 3000mm.
• Care: Dust with a soft cloth. Never use solvents, industrial cleaners or abrasive products.
• Note: Slight colour variation can occur between fabric batches — within normal industry tolerance.

Make it a combo — day & night control

A combo is a tidy bracket system that holds two blinds in one opening — a sunscreen and a blackout. Pair this Duo Block blackout with a colour-matched Duo Screen sunscreen and you can control light right through the day.

• By day, lower the sunscreen to cut glare and keep your view, while still letting light in.
• At night, drop the blackout for full darkness and privacy.

Both rollers sit on one combo bracket with the controls on the same side, so it stays neat. You choose the combo option when you order — it is an add-on to this blind, not a separate product. Because the Duo Block and Duo Screen colours are matched (see the chart below), the pair looks deliberate.
